The remediation project was essentially a continuation of the repurposing project, but with one major twist: multimodality. The goal of this project was to rework the repurposing project into a new piece of writing that utilized the advantages of a multimodal, technological platform. The progression of my project from beginning to end is outlined in detail below.

The first step in creating my remediation project was to decide what type of multimodal project I wanted to create. Commonly used platforms from previous semesters included podcasts, websites, blogs, and pamphlets, but none of these platforms seemed to align with my passions or goals for the project. As deadlines for the rough draft grew closer, I decided to take a risk and create a PSA-style video that would inform the casual readers of The Atlantic about preventative healthcare in America. After selecting a medium, I began cutting my ten page repurposing project down to a manageable length transcript for the movie. Parting with sections of my original repurposing piece was very difficult, but I eventually distilled down my repurposing text into a four page transcript, which is included to the left. I planned to center my video on the major topics of the repurposing project, which included general information about preventative healthcare as well as the effects exercise, diet, and doctors have on ones overall health.
